AEW Star Shouts Out Jack Perry After CM Punk Remarks

Jack Perry

The issue of CM Punk and Jack Perry’s fight in AEW resurfaced after Punk finally broke his silence over what happened but one star has Perry’s back.

CM Punk claimed AEW wasn’t a real business and Tony Khan wasn’t a real boss with his bombshell remarks as the former AEW World Champion also revealed what happened in his infamous altercation with Jack Perry.

Jack Perry has not been seen in AEW since his fight with Punk that led to CM Punk being fired by AEW which ultimately allowed him to return to WWE. However, the former AEW Tag Team Champion has established himself in New Japan Pro Wrestling with the new nickname of ‘The Scapegoat,’ a pointed reference to how he feels he has been treated in the wake of the Punk controversy.

Jack Perry has been clear he has not apologised for the situation as he refuses to say sorry for “other people’s actions.” While in Punk’s interview, he made allusions to who Perry was friends with in AEW that may have led to issues between the two men.

Matt Jackson Loves Jack Perry’s Work

On Dynamite in Worcester, one of those friends that CM Punk was likely referring to gave a shout out to Jack Perry as they made their way to the ring for a match.

The Young Bucks faced Best Friends on Dynamite in the semi-final of the AEW Tag Team Title tournament and on their way to the ring Matt Jackson shouted into the camera for the fans at home to hear “Yo Scapegoat, I love your work.”

The Bucks won their match which led to a shock heel turn from one of their opponents as one of AEW’s longest-running factions seems to have come to an end.
