AEW Star Laughs Off Claims They’ve Been Fined By Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson

An AEW star has seemingly hit back at speculation suggesting Bryan Danielson has fined them.

Following the December 6th episode of AEW Dynamite, Mike Santana posted “6 Weeks” on social media, which appeared to be in reference to how long it’s been since he had a match for the promotion.

Santana hasn’t wrestled in AEW since beating Ortiz on the October 27th episode of Rampage — the match was taped two days earlier.

The star later deleted the tweet, sparking speculation he’d been fined by Bryan Danielson. The American Dragon’s influence with AEW has grown greatly in 2023 and the veteran is said to be heavily involved in backstage discipline, which includes handing out fines when required.

However, Santana appeared to fire back, writing: “Fined me? Yea. Ok.” with a series of crying laughing emojis. In another post, he wrote: “Thanks for the entertainment while I soak up my beautiful island.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜Ž” alongside a photo of himself on the beach.

Bryan Danielson Played Role In Firing CM Punk

CM Punk was fired by AEW back in September after a backstage altercation at All In which involved Jack Perry and Tony Khan. When news of Punk’s firing broke, it was revealed that a disciplinary committee had recommended the star be let go.

Bryan Danielson later confirmed that he was on the panel, although he denied he was in charge.
