AEW Star Does John Cena Hand Gesture At Full Gear (VIDEO)

John Cena

A former WWE wrestler decided to bust out a John Cena hand gesture following a match at AEW Full Gear.

During the AEW Full Gear PPV in Los Angeles, Claudio Castagnoli faced Buddy Matthews during the Zero Hour pre-show. Claudio won the match with the Sharpshooter submission leading to Buddy tapping out.

After the match, Claudio wanted a handshake. However, Buddy walked away while bumping into the shoulder of Claudio. That led to Claudio brushing off his shoulder as if to say that was nothing to him.

When Buddy was out of the ring, Claudio did the “you can’t see me” hand gesture that John Cena has used for over 20 years. Cena has used the taunt as a way to tell an opponent that they can’t overmatch him or outsmart him while also doing something that fans at home could do. During matches, usually did the gesture before doing the Five Knuckle Shuffle fist drop.

There is a history between John Cena and Claudio Castagnoli because they wrestled in WWE when Claudio was known as Cesaro. They also worked out together often since they were two of the strongest men in the history of the business.

Paul Heyman Claimed John Cena Was Not Coming Back On WWE SmackDown

After regularly appearing on WWE SmackDown in September and October due to the SAG-AFTRA actor’s strike, John Cena lost decisively to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel. Now that the actor’s strike has concluded, Cena will be away from WWE again to focus on his acting career just as he has done for most of the last five years.

Even though Cena is off WWE television for now, Paul Heyman of The Bloodline mentioned him on the November 17th edition of WWE SmackDown. Heyman was in the ring with Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso talking about how Solo destroyed Cena.

Heyman went so far as to say that Cena will never appear in a WWE ring ever again. Heyman said he gets to say goodbye to Cena, so on behalf of Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso, he said goodbye to John Cena.

As he continued, Heyman claimed that if Cena ever came back, Solo had to be his opponent and his target. Heyman added that Cena canโ€™t communicate like he used to and itโ€™s all because of Solo.

Despite being gone from WWE, John Cena was also referenced in a new Drake song that mentioned wrestling.
