One AEW star has taken to social media to hit out at their lack of ring time in recent weeks with their last match taking place in December 2022.

Lance Archer debuted in AEW in March 2020 as the mystery client for WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts to manage. Archer immediately set his sights on Cody Rhodes with the two men meeting in the finals of the tournament to crown the inaugural TNT Champion at Double Or Nothing two months later in May.

Despite his three years in the company, Archer has only competed 25 times on AEW’s flagship Dynamite show with The Murderhawk Monster only appearing five times on the show in 2022. The highlight of Lance Archer’s career came in July 2021 when he defeated Jon Moxley on Dynamite to win the IWGP United States Championship in a Texas Death match.

Despite joining AEW, Lance Archer has appeared many times in New Japan Pro Wrestling in recent years as well. Archer was part of the 2022 G1 Climax tournament that was won by Kazuchika Okada and was later part of the World Tag League with Minoru Suzuki. Archer’s last match in NJPW at the time of writing took place on the 23rd of December 2022 when he was on the losing four-man team as the eight members of Suzuki-gun did battle before going their separate ways.

Taking to social media, Archer expressed his frustration at not competing in almost two months and noted that it wasn’t his choice:

“51 days since I laced up my boots last! NOT by choice!”

When the former two-time IWGP US and three-time IWGP Tag Team Champion returns to the ring remains to be seen.
