AEW Star Says CM Punk “Has To Finish His Story” In AEW
Some within AEW aren’t so convinced that CM Punk is well and truly finished with the company.
Punk hasn’t been seen in AEW or on its programming since All Out back in September. He has been nursing an injury sustained at that event and has also been dealing with the fallout of the alleged backstage incident between himself and The Elite.
The division between Punk and much of the AEW locker room took another turn last week when Punk released an Instagram story criticizing Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Dave Meltzer, further dewing discord within AEW.
It is unknown when or if Punk will return, but he does still have one vocal supporter in Dax Harwood.
Amidst all this doom and gloom surrounding CM Punk and his future, Harwood is trying to be optimistic and is holding onto the idea that Punk can and will return.
Speaking to WrestlingInc’s Sean Neumann, Harwood elaborated on what he sees happening with Punk.
“Well, I’ve always been a pretty optimistic person, even to the point where it’s failed in my life and made me fail,” Harwood said. “I feel like yes there is, and I feel like there could be a point that he comes back. I do also feel that he should come back and he has to finish his story.
If he comes back, I want him to come back with a clear head and a clear mind, because he deserves to have a finish to his career that he wants.”
Dax Harwood isn’t the only one who thinks that AEW needs CM Punk; Jim Ross thinks so as well.
