With AEW just a few short weeks away from embarking on its first house show on the road but former TNT Champion Sammy Guevara has explained why he wants to be kept away from shows not on television.

The House Rules tour will kick off in Troy, Ohio at the Hobart Arena on Saturday, March 18th as AEW looks to get into the house show business following their hire of Jeff Jarrett as the company’s Director of Business Development.

Fightful Select reported on some of the reactions from within AEW to the news and it seems to have garnered a positive reception from those on the roster. Some of those noted that they believed something like this to have been coming for a while with one source noting that “multiple wrestlers” have pushed the company to make this move, but not all talent might be that thrilled with the move.

Speaking to Muscle Man Malcolm, The Jericho Appreciation Society’s Sammy Guevara explained why he’d rather keep his bumps for crazy bouts as he tries to minimise the amount he takes:

“On the house shows, you can keep me off those. I’m trying not to have to take bumps, Okay? When I do take bumps. As you see, it’s been [in scenarios like] a crazy Ladder Match, and then you can keep me off for a little bit. I don’t want to bump often. But when I do, I want to make it crazy, so keep me off those.”

Guevara was back to his crazy best during the Face of the Revolution ladder match that was won by Powerhouse Hobbs on Dynamite. Hobbs will face Wardlow for the TNT Championship after Mr. Mayhem dethroned Samoa Joe for the title at Revolution.
