AEW Star Announces They’re Leaving The Company
An AEW star is on their way out of the company.
In a post on social media, Abadon has announced they’re leaving AEW in June when their contract expires. In a short statement, they expressed their desire to keep wrestling, commenting that they love it too much to walk away.
Abadon added that while their heart is broken, they’re determined to keep working.
Abadon signed with AEW in 2020 and went on to face the likes of Hikaru Shida, Tay Melo, and Britt Baker. However, the star hasn’t wrestled on either Dynamite or Collision since late 2023, instead being used regularly in Ring of Honor through 2024 and into 2025.
My time with AEW is coming to an end. My contract expires in June and I will not be renewed. The emotions I’m currently trying to manage are incredibly difficult and full of conflict as I reflect on my time there.
My goal is to not let this be it for me, because I love wrestling too much to just stop. I’ve put in a lot of hard work that I will now be able to show case more often.
While my heart is currently broken you can bet that I’m still going to show up for training next week. If you are looking to book me please send an email to [email protected]
Thank you.
New Signing Makes AEW Debut
The announcement by Abadon comes just days after Thekla made her AEW debut with a violent assault on Jamie Hayter.
It was noted on commentary that The Toxic Spider had been fired with cause from Stardom for striking the promotion’s president. While her firing was just an angle to explain her departure, fans online enjoyed the idea that in storyline, Tony Khan had hired a wrestler who had previously attacked their boss, after he had to very publicly fire CM Punk for threatening him in a scuffle with Jack Perry.
