Filming Begins For Upcoming AEW Reality Show

The new AEW reality show has started filming and it will give fans some behind-the-scenes access never seen before.

An executive with Warner Bros. Discovery mentioned recently that they were very happy with AEW and wanted to do more with the company. This is what Kathleen Finch, the Chief Lifestyles Brand Officer for Warner Bros. Discovery said in October.

“We really play in the sports space. One of the things that we’re doing around sports is creating shoulder programming to hold onto those fans. AEW [All Elite Wrestling] pulls huge numbers, so we are working with the wrestling team to figure out what new kind of content can we build that’s not in a wrestling ring.”

Shortly after those comments, plans were announced for AEW to start filming a reality show.

In an update on AEW’s new reality show, PWInsider reported that production began this week for the show that Warner Bros. Discovery is producing.

The report noted there was a camera crew filming backstage at Dynamite on November 2nd in Baltimore and Rampage on November 4th in Atlantic City. The focus of the series will be on what goes on behind the scenes in AEW as they focus on several wrestlers that will be the focal point of the series. No names were given about what wrestlers will be on the show.

There is no official word as to when this new AEW reality series will debut although it will likely be in 2023 at some point.

It will be the second AEW reality TV project after Rhodes To The Top, which lasted for six episodes following the lives of Cody & Brandi Rhodes. That show obviously can’t continue to be run by AEW after Cody signed with WWE in early 2022.
