AEW Rampage Spoilers For 23rd June

Another week of AEW action kicked off with Dynamite in Chicago, Illinois with a noteworthy edition of Rampage taped after that show.

On Dynamite, plans were locked in for Forbidden Door as several huge matches were announced, including CM Punk’s. Punk will be a part of the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and his quest to win that competition begins in Toronto, Ontario as he takes on Satoshi Kojima.

MJF and Adam Cole also came face-to-face on Dynamite as Cole goaded the AEW World Champion into accepting Hiroshi Tanahashi’s challenge for Forbidden Door. There was disturbing news for both men however as it was also revealed that they have been drawn to be partners in the Blind Tag Team Eliminator Tournament to find new challengers for FTR’s AEW Tag Team Championship.

• United Empire (Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher, Jeff Cobb) and Swerve Strickland defeated CHAOS (Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor, Rocky Romero, and YOH)
• Adam Cole came out for a promo. MJF interrupted Cole’s promo and told Tony Khan to book Cole against Tom Lawlor. Lawlor then attacked Cole, setting up a match for Forbidden Door.
• The Acclaimed & Daddy Ass defeated unnamed opponents. Johnny Elite (John Hennigan) joined the QTV crew in attacking The Acclaimed after the match.
• Women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament: Skye Blue defeated Anna Jay A.S.
• Jungle Boy Jack Perry defeated DOUKI
