AEW made their Canadian debut with a huge Dynamite show in Toronto, Ontario and the event saw a big return for the company as an absent star came back.

The Toronto Dynamite show was already off to a hot start with the news breaking just moments before the show that former WWE announcer and hometown girl Renee Paquette was joining the company.

Dynamite saw Chris Jericho put his Ring Of Honor World Title on the line against Bryan Danielson with The American Dragon having his heart broken by Daniel Garcia who emphatically confirmed his commitment to sports entertainment and The Jericho Appreciation Society.

The night also saw Orange Cassidy win his first championship in AEW as he dethroned PAC to become the new All-Atlantic Champion.

The dual championship-wielding team of War Joe – Wardlow and Samoa Joe – was also in action defeating QT Marshall and Nick Comoroto of The Factory. Following that bout Prince Nana, The Gates of Agony, and Brian Cage made their presence felt. This led to FTR joining the fray telling Nana’s men that they will be in action on Rampage against the AAA, ROH, and IWGP Tag Team Champions and their partner, the returning Shawn Spears.

Spears was last seen wrestling in AEW on the May 25th edition of Dynamite, losing a cage match to Wardlow as part of the TNT Champion’s ongoing feud with MJF. FTR and Spears were previously part of The Pinnacle group alongside Wardlow, Tully Blanchard, and MJF before the group fell apart.
