AEW Confirm Date & Location Of Forbidden Door 2023
In 2022, wrestling’s Forbidden Door was well and truly opened as AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling teamed up to put on a supershow and now it has been confirmed that the extravaganza will return in 2023.
2022’s Forbidden Door event was headlined by Jon Moxley defending his Interim AEW World Championship against Hiroshi Tanahashi as the best of AEW did battle with the best of New Japan Pro Wrestling in a series of new and intriguing matches.
On social media, All Elite Wrestling has confirmed that Forbidden Door will return in 2023 and will have an international flavour but not the one many expected. Rather than taking place in Japan, 2023’s edition of the cross-promotional spectacular will emanate from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Sunday, June 25th.

The event headlines six summer dates Tony Khan’s company has announced for Canada with the company running shows in Hamilton, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina, and Calgary in June and July. The majority of those dates will either be for Dynamite and Rampage tapings but the Calgary event will be a house show taking place in the Saddledome during the world-famous Calgary Stampede…cowboy sh*t indeed.

Both New Japan Pro Wrestling and AEW will have huge shows before Forbidden Door takes place with the latter holding Double Or Nothing on May 28th and NJPW likely holding their Dominion show in early June.
