AEW Confirms Major Star Out Indefinitely
Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega were meant to challenge for the AEW Tag Team Championship at Worlds End but that match is off.
Kenny Omega revealed he’d been hospitalised with diverticulitis meaning that he’s set to be missing from the ring with no timeframe given for his return.
On Dynamite in Oklahoma City, Chris Jericho appeared solemn in a backstage segment as he confirmed Omega’s diagnosis and that the former AEW World Champion would be out of action indefinitely. Jericho noted that plans for The Golden Jets are now on hold as a result but no replacement was named for the AEW Tag Team Championship shot for Worlds End against Ricky Starks and Big Bill.
The Golden Jets earned their AEW Tag Team Title opportunity by defeating The Young Bucks at Full Gear. Jericho and Omega would have had to disband their team had they lost that match.
First-ever #AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has a special message for Kenny Omega.

What Else Happened On AEW Dynamite?
The Gold League Final for the AEW Continental Classic is set following the final league matches on Dynamite. Swerve Strickland defeated Rush to move on to 12 points with Jon Moxley already on that total after defeating Strickland previously.
However, Moxley was not able to get through the Gold League undefeated as Jay White picked up a massive win meaning that the Gold League final will be a three-way match between Strickland, White, and Moxley with all three men on 12 points.
Toni Storm now knows her next challenger at Worlds End as two former AEW Women’s World Champions clashed for that right in Riho and Saraya.
