AEW Collision Spoilers For August 26th
AEW Collision has been pre-taped.
In a night filled with wrestling action for the crowd in Duluth, Georgia, 3 shows were taped back to back as Rampage and Collision broadcasts were pre-recorded following Dynamite going off the air.
As obtained via Fightful, the following events took place at the AEW Collision taping:
- Jack Perry attempted to retire the FTW Championship, but HOOK came out and put Perry through a table, setting up an FTW Title match for AEW All In.
- Samoa Joe cut a promo against CM Punk regarding their match at AEW All In.
- CM Punk, Darby Allin, Sting and HOOK [who was revealed as a mystery partner] defeated Jay White, Luchasaurus, Swerve Strickland and Brian Cage
- Samoa Joe and Punk brawled after the match, which was announced as the main event but taped first. The others also kept fighting after the bell.
- CM Punk cut a post-show promo and paid tribute to the late Terry Funk
- Big Bill (with Ricky Starks) defeated Vary Morales
- Dark Order (John Silver & Alex Reynolds) defeated Darius Martin & Action Andretti.
- Willow Nightingale defeated Robyn Renegade.
- Keith Lee defeated Zicky Dice.
- Eddie Kingston, Orange Cassidy, and Penta El Zero Miedo defeated The Butcher, The Blade, and Kip Sabian
Why Is AEW Collision Not Being Broadcast Live?
With All In taking place 1 day after Collision airs on Saturday night, the pre-taping was a necessity so that all relevant talent could travel to the UK for the Wembley Stadium show.
With the ratings for Collision being under half a million for 3 consecutive weeks, it will be interesting to see how a pre-taped show will fare along with going head-to-head with College Football.
