AEW Collision Match Scrapped Due To Injury

AEW Collision stage

Yet another AEW match had to be pulled due to an injury issue.

The Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite suffered a setback when Jon Moxley had to be pulled from the show due to not being cleared to compete. That led to Rey Fenix instead defending his AEW International Championship – the title he won in the match where Moxley was apparently injured – against Orange Cassidy. Cassidy managed to overcome Fenix, capturing the title for the second time in his career.

Injury issues have also apparently plagued the main event scene and MJF’s story with Adam Cole as Cole has been forced to undergo ankle surgery after suffering a severe injury when he attempted to come to MJF’s aid during his AEW World Championship match with Samoa Joe at Dynamite Grand Slam.

Tony Khan forced to scrap AEW Collision match

Tony Khan announced on social media that a “late injury” meant the advertised match between Brian Cage and Komander would not take place:

“Due to late injury, this @KomandercrMX vs @briancagegmsi match has been postponed. Thank you all watching #AEWCollision tonight on TNT!”

Khan did not confirm which star had suffered an injury or the nature of it but Brian Cage responded, apologising to everyone for the call-off:

“Sorry, everyone. Was looking fwd to throwing komander over lake Michigan, so hopefully, there’s a lake nearby on the redue. Thanks for the match, Tony. Looking fwd to this and more to come. #GMSi”

Collision saw Christian Cage put his TNT Championship on the line against Bryan Danielson in a huge bout that ended in controversial fashion.
