Absent AEW Star Will Return On Debut Of Collision
A big name AEW wrestler that hasn’t been in a match in a long time will return on Collision and we don’t mean CM Punk.
The debut episode of AEW Collision is set to take place in one week’s time on Saturday, June 17th from the United Center in Chicago.
While there are many big names in AEW set to be on Collision, the one man they are really building around the most is the former two-time AEW World Champion CM Punk. It was announced this past Wednesday on Dynamite that Punk will team up with the AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler against Jay White, Juice Robinson & Samoa Joe in the main event of the first episode of Collision.
However, CM Punk will not be the only former champion that returns at Collision. Miro, a former TNT Champion, will return on the June 17th episode of Collision as well.
Instead of having AEW CEO & GM Tony Khan stand in front of a screen to make an announcement, All Elite Wrestling decided to announce Miro’s return in a tweet.

Miro debuted with AEW in September 2020 after spending nearly a decade in WWE as Rusev. While he had a dominant run in the company to end of 2020 and through most of 2021, he was barely used in 2022 while having zero matches in 2023 so far.
Even though Miro didn’t suffer any kind of major injury that we know of, he only wrestled four matches in 2022. The last match he had was at All Out in September 2022 (which is actually the show where CM Punk had his last match as well) when he teamed up with Sting & Darby Allin to beat House of Black in a trios tag team match.
On the May 10th episode of Dynamite, AEW showed Miro walking into Tony Khan’s office during the show.
