AEW Alters TV Schedule To Avoid Major WWE PLE

Tony Khan AEW

The AEW television schedule in November changed because of a WWE PLE.

It’s a competitive time in the pro wrestling business with WWE doing what it can to counter AEW whenever it sees fit. An example of that was in September when they put the Wrestlepalooza PLE on September 20th, which was the same day as AEW All Out. To counter that move, Tony Khan and AEW moved All Out five hours earlier so they avoided the two shows starting at the same time.

Most WWE PLE’s take place on Saturday nights, which is also the night when AEW Collision usually takes place.

When WWE runs Survivor Series on November 29th in San Diego, AEW will avoid it by putting Collision on November 27th, which is actually Thanksgiving in the US. That episode of Collision will be taped on the same day as Dynamite on November 26th.

Warner Bros. Discovery has released a schedule for AEW’s November broadcasts, including the return of Battle of the Belts on Friday, November 21st.

November 1 – AEW Collision, 8 p.m.

November 5 – AEW Dynamite, 8 p.m.

November 8 – AEW Collision, 8 p.m.

November 12 – AEW Blood and Guts, 8 p.m.

November 15 – AEW Collision, 8 p.m.

November 19 – AEW Dynamite, 8 p.m. AEW Collision, 10 p.m. AEW Countdown to Full Gear 2025, 11 p.m.

November 21 – The Battle of the Belts joins the AEW programming roster alongside Dynamite and Rampage.

November 22 – AEW Saturday Tailgate Brawl: Full Gear, 7 p.m. AEW Full Gear, 8 p.m. (HBO Max PPV)

November 26 – AEW Dynamite, 8 p.m.

November 27 – AEW Collision, 8 p.m.

November 28 – AEW Double or Nothing (5/25): Anarchy in the Arena takes place at Double or Nothing. Hurt Syndicate defend their tag titles against Sons Of Texas. The Owen Hart Cup finals conclude with Will Ospreay vs. “Hangman” Page and Mercedes Mone vs. Jamie Hayter. AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm against Mina Shirakawa.

AEW’s Tony Khan Refers To WWE As Tough Competition

When AEW’s Owner, Tony Khan, was asked about WWE countering their shows, Tony referred to it as “tough competition” without saying WWE by name.

“Well, we’ve been having a great year. We’ve been able to stick and move and make it work really well for us. There’s always going to be tough competition, and this sport, it’s very tough competition, the kind of competition that makes you work really hard 52 weeks a year.”

The next AEW PPV is Full Gear on Saturday, November 22nd, which is one week before Survivor Series takes place.
