AEW Adds TBS Title Match To All Out Lineup

AEW has announced that TBS Champion Jade Cargill will defend her title at the upcoming All Out pay-per-view event on September 4.

Jade Cargill has been impressive in her AEW career with an unblemished record of 35-0 while also winning the TBS Championship in January. During Cargill’s run as champion, she has successfully defended her title against the likes of Madison Rayne, Anna Jay, The Bunny, Marina Shafir and more.

On the August 26 edition of Rampage from Cleveland, Cargill did a backstage interview where she called out Athena for a match at All Out. Cargill wanted Athena to “get these hands” and Athena responded by attacking Cargill with a punch. The two women had a quick brawl that was broken up by security.

Athena is the former Ember Moon in WWE, who was a former NXT Champion. She debuted at Double or Nothing in May and has yet to win a title in AEW, but she has targed Cargill for several months.

The matchup with Cargill defending the TBS Championship against Athena was made official later in the Rampage broadcast. While Cargill’s 35-0 record in AEW is the most impressive in the company, Athena has done well with a record of 6-1 as well.
