Adam Page Stuns The Elite In AEW Return
Hangman Adam Page is back in AEW but The Elite’s plan for their old friend seems to have backfired in their face.
Prior to Dynamite in Chicago, Hangman Adam Page had not been seen in AEW since Revolution in March when he was part of a three way match alongside Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship.
The real reason for Adam Page’s absence has been revealed and with The Young Bucks confirming their behind the wild card in the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, all signs seemed to be pointing towards The Bucks bringing their old friend back with a huge chance to challenge for the AEW World Championship again.
On Dynamite, that proved to be the case as The Young Bucks revealed Hangman Adam Page was their wildcard and he went on to defeat Jeff Jarrett in the tournament to progress to the semi-final where he will face Jay White on Collision. The winner of that match will take on Bryan Danielson in the final on the 10th of July edition of Dynamite in Owen Hart’s hometown of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Is Adam Page Back In The Elite?
Following his victory, The Young Bucks congratulated Page and offered him the fifth spot on The Elite’s team for Blood and Guts. Rather than accept that offer, Page grabbed Matthew Jackson and told him he was not The Elite’s puppet anymore and was only focussed on winning the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
The winner of the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament will challenge for the AEW World Championship at All In which could see Adam Page reignite his incredibly personal feud with Swerve Strickland.
