Adam Page Could Still Miss AEW Revolution Despite Being Injury Free

Adam Page could yet miss AEW Revolution.

After battling with Swerve Strickland for several months Hangman finally found his way back into the World Title picture after a time-limit draw with his heated rival. Despite no winner, and no number one contender being decided, it was announced that World Champion Samoa Joe would defend his title against both men at Revolution.

However, the match was thrown into doubt following the February 21st episode of Dynamite, when it was reported that Page might have suffered a broken ankle. The star was clutching his ankle and limping backstage after the main event where he teamed with HOOK and Rob Van Dam to take on Strickland, Joe, and Brian Cage.

Thankfully, a further report from Fightful noted that Adam Page was fine and uninjured, and the “injury” was just an angle.

But, it seems there’s no guarantee that Page will compete at Revolution. Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the former World Champion is dealing with a “personal issue” and the injury angle could have been a cover to write him off television.

“It was said that due to a personal issue that he may not be able to make the show so they shot the angle as an explanation if needed.”

Jerry Lynn Blasts Adam Page Leak

In response to the updated report, Jerry Lynn who works backstage in AEW appeared to call out whoever leaked the information that Page was okay.

“This shouldn’t even be announced. God forbid we have a cliff hanger for next week.”

This isn’t the first time that Jerry Lynn has expressed his frustration at AEW storylines leaking online. Back in October, the ECW legend said wrestlers who leak information to the ‘sheets’ are damaging the company and the entire wrestling industry.
