Adam Copeland Challenges AEW Rival To Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match
Adam Copeland wants to go to war at AEW Double or Nothing.
On the May 11th episode of Collision, Adam Copeland made another successful defence of his TNT Championship picking up a hard-fought win over Kyle O’Reilly. However, the WWE Hall of Famer didn’t allow himself long to celebrate, quickly turning his attention to a different, more mythical rival.
On Rampage, which followed Collision, Copeland appeared behind steel fencing and barbed wire to challenge Malakai Black to a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match at Double or Nothing.
Copeland has been at odds with the House of Black since Dynasty where he teamed with Eddie Kingston and Mark Briscoe in defeat to the former World Trios Champions. On that occasion, it was Malakai Black who pinned the veteran after spitting mist in his face.
During his promo on Rampage, Copeland cited recent wins over Buddy Matthews and Brody King, before turning his attention to Black.
AEW Collision Marred By Fan Incident
AEW Collision nearly went completely off the rails after a fan managed to rush into the ring. Thankfully, the man was quickly tackled to the ground by security before things escalated.
The incident is more unwanted attention on AEW after another fan was removed from a taping just days earlier for making repeated “sexually-charged” comments at Skye Blue.
During Dynamite earlier that night, Saraya pointed to a group in the front row while on camera calling them “creeps.” It’s believed that one of the people Saraya was pointing at was the man who was later ejected.
