An in-ring veteran is reportedly stepping away from TV to take more backstage roles in WWE.

Candice LeRae is not often seen competing in matches these days. Her last bout involved a loss to Lainey Reid during the September 23 taping of NXT in the Women’s Speed Title #1 Contendership Tournament final.

She was also featured in a backstage segment on the latest SmackDown episode when #DIY came face-to-face against Fraxiom.

LeRae, who is a two-time champion in WWE, is said to have taken on the role of a match producer.

As reported by TC of WrestlVotes, LeRae has shown a keen interest in learning about match production and is already on the floor with WWE Main Event.

On the Main Event taping ahead of the October 24 episode of SmackDown, The Street Profits defeated Los Garza in a match Candice LeRae produced.

Former WWE Champion Rhea Ripley Calls Candice LeRae Underrated

While speaking to SPORTBible, 3-time WWE Champion Rhea Ripley called Candice LeRae underrated, pushing for more opportunities that allow her to shine.

Someone that I love is Candice LeRae, and going through NXT with her and how her brain works and how she goes out there and she’s like the vet in the ring, she knows what to do and she keeps everyone calm and she’s got ideas and it’s just like I wish that someone like her would get more of an opportunity.

Candice LeRae is a veteran in wrestling, having begun her professional career in 2002. Through her experience, she is naturally well-positioned to become the tool that shapes WWE’s future.
