Rhea Ripley Wants More Opportunity For This 39-Year-Old WWE Star
Rhea Ripley has pushed for one underutilised WWE star to get more opportunities in the company.
Rhea Ripley has fought her way through the ranks of WWE, all the way from the NXT UK brand, to go on to hold the Women’s World Championship. Now she’s found herself in the middle of some friendship drama as she’s been warned to keep her distance from another major Raw star.
As one of the brightest lights in a stacked women’s division, Ripley has now given her thoughts on who else deserves some more opportunities on TV.
Rhea Ripley Wants To See Candice LeRae Shine In WWE
Speaking to SPORTBible, Rhea Ripley was asked which female WWE star she thought was underrated and singled out Candice LeRae as someone she thought deserved more opportunities in the company:
It’s hard to pinpoint anyone specifically, but I feel like there’s a lot, especially in the women’s division. There’s so many women that I know are so amazing at what they do, and they don’t get enough TV time or the opportunities to really show everyone what they can do.
Someone that I love is Candice LeRae, and going through NXT with her and how her brain works and how she goes out there and she’s like the vet in the ring, she knows what to do and she keeps everyone calm and she’s got ideas and it’s just like I wish that someone like her would get more of an opportunity.
Candice LeRae will have the opportunity to win WWE gold again as she’s been named in the tournament to find the next number one contender for Sol Ruca’s Speed Title at No Mercy. LeRae was the first and only other woman so far to have held that championship.
