Action Bronson Attacks Weird Vibes Backstage In AEW
Action Bronson had one match in AEW and it looks like there won’t be a second as he claims there were “weird vibes” backstage.
At Rampage Grand Slam in 2022, rapper and actor Action Bronson teamed with HOOK to defeat Matt Menard and Angelo Parker. Many fans would have expected given Bronson’s connection to Queens, New York – where the show took place – that it was a case of one and done for him but it seems Bronson wanted more.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show where he was unlikely to be positive about AEW, Action Bronson was dismissive when asked if he was looking for another match as he said the company never got in touch with him again:
You know what they do. They don’t call you back. I never got called back. There was an angle there. I’m ready right now. I’m ready for whoever.
“Cliquey” AEW Locker Room Didn’t Impress Action Bronson
Action Bronson was then asked if he liked being backstage and despite initially saying yes, he quickly changed his mind:
Actually, no. I enjoy the act. I don’t like the…the backstage is weird over there. It’s just weird. It was just like everyone’s cliquey. […] You could tell it was weird vibes.
Bronson also intimated that he wanted to do more in his one match but his opponents were unwilling to take moves such as top rope splashes and facebusters from the untrained rap star.
