Action Andretti Comments On Shocking AEW Dynamite Win Over Chris Jericho
AEW’s newest signee, Action Andretti, has commented on his huge win over Chris Jericho on the Winter Is Coming edition of Dynamite.
At Winter Is Coming, Chris Jericho was coming off the loss of the Ring of Honor World Championship to Claudio Castagnoli at Final Battle. As a result, Jericho wanted to get a quick win against “a jobber” but the star ended up with more than he bargained for.
Jericho clashed with Action Andretti in the young star’s Dynamite debut. To the shock of everyone, including a horrified Chris Jericho, Andretti ended up picking up the biggest win of his career with a running shooting star press.
On a recent edition of Busted Open, Andretti reflected on the biggest moment of his career so far, admitting he was nervous before going out.
“The nerves were definitely there, the butterflies are always there. I knew I couldn’t be nervous once the bell rung, you know?
“I could let it all out in the back, but once I was in that ring, and I hear Jericho’s music going, and the people singing, and the flames going off, I had my game face on through all that.
“I still knew it was time to get down to business and put on my best performance.”
Now that he has officially signed with AEW, the pressure is on the 24-year-old to continue his newfound momentum. However, Andretti says he is more than ready for anything that comes his way.
“I’m super ready because I understand with all the love you get, there will always be some hate that comes with it. I’ll never let it bring me down.
“Nothing that anybody says can take away the feeling that I’ve had these past 24 hours. … After that match I did not sleep at all.”
