Absent WWE Star In France Ahead Of Backlash

Could a stunning WWE return be on the horizon?

Charlotte Flair has been out of action since December 8th when she suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus in a match with Asuka.

At the time it was reported that Flair would be out of action for around nine months, but the star has been sharing footage of her impressive recovery since well before WrestleMania.

While there’s been no official comment regarding a comeback, Flair has set the rumour mill running wild with her latest post on social media. While the photo of Flair in a black dress went down well with fans, it was the location on the post that really caught the attention. When the photo was shared, Flair was in Paris, France, with Backlash due to be held in Décines-Charpieu, Lyon Metropolis on May 4th.

Another WWE Name Pictured In France

The perhaps inadvertent hint from Flair comes after John Cena was pictured with fans in Nice, France. The photo has sparked speculation Cena could also appear at Backlash, especially after he made a surprise appearance at another international WWE show — Money In The Bank in 2023.

Cena’s most recent WWE appearance came on Raw the night after WrestleMania 40 when he teamed with The Awesome Truth. The veteran’s most recent singles match came at Crown Jewel when he lost to Solo Sikoa.
