40-Year-Old Megastar To Return At WWE Royal Rumble?

Jelly Roll made his WWE in-ring debut at SummerSlam 2025, teaming up with Randy Orton to face Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul in a tag team match held at MetLife Stadium on August 2, 2025.

The match came after a heated rivalry that started on SmackDown and Saturday Night’s Main Event, where the 40-year-old megastar paired with Orton to confront McIntyre and Paul. During the match, Jelly Roll showcased surprising in-ring skills despite being a newcomer.

However, McIntyre and Paul ultimately secured the victory after Paul delivered a high-flying frog splash that sent Jelly Roll crashing through the announcer’s table, and then Drew McIntyre used his Claymore kick on Randy Orton to seal the deal.

Sam Roberts World Love To See Jelly Roll Return To WWE

Speaking on the recent edition of Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts commented on the possibility of Jelly Roll’s return to WWE. He was totally on board with the fan idea that suggested we might see Jelly Roll in another match in WWE, probably at the Royal Rumble next year.

Jelly Roll at the Royal Rumble? Honestly, I think that’s a good idea too. I think that Jelly Roll just stepping foot.. I think he did great at SummerSlam. I think he’s really connected with WWE fans. And I think that if you are going to bring him back, Royal Rumble, why not? It’s as good a time as any. It’s a nice pop.
