4-Time WWE Champion’s 2-Word Reaction To Long-Awaited Return

WWE boss Triple H Reveals Heated Confrontation With Vince McMahon Over

A former champion in WWE has issued just two words after making their shock return to the company after five years away.

Trouble has been brewing under the surface between NXT and TNA ever since Trick Williams captured the TNA World Championship from Joe Hendry at Battleground.

At NXT Homecoming, it was announced that Williams would clash with Oba Femi with both the TNA and NXT Championships on the line. This led to several members of the TNA roster taking to social media to express their unhappiness with WWE’s perceived control over them.

On the September 23rd edition of NXT, that match took place, and many TNA stars made themselves at home in the crowd to take it all in. Mike Santana joined Vic Joseph and Booker T on commentary, and in the end, it was his presence that proved definitive in the match.

Trick Williams slapped Santana across the face, and when Santana retaliated, the referee called the match off. The NXT and TNA rosters then went to war in a huge battle that featured ex-WWE stars such as The IIconics, Cedric Alexander, Eric Young, and Matt Cardona returning to the company.

Matt Cardona Ready For WWE Return

Now former WWE Tag Team, Intercontinental, and US Champion Matt Cardona issued a brief comment on his role as he shared a photo on social media of himself outside the WWE Performance Center:

ALWAYZ READY… @ThisIsTNA> @WWENXT

Matt Cardona competed in WWE as Zack Ryder for several years before he was released from the company in April 2020.
