A WWE star and former 3-time Champion returned to NXT recently.

Rusev competed in the brand across multiple house shows on September 5 & 6, only to shockingly lose both bouts.

On September 5, he faced Ricky Saints in a singles match. The following day, he teamed up with Ethan Page and Jasper Troy to face Oba Femi and the duo of Hank and Tank.

Rusev is a three-time United States Champion on WWE’s main roster. Before his debut, he was a part of NXT from May 2013 to the remainder of the year.

He made his main roster debut during the 2014 Royal Rumble, during which he was eliminated by a few wrestlers’ joint effort.

He became a regular on RAW, initially squashing opponents in matches, drawing heat from the audiences across different arenas in the United States.

Rusev won his first championship on November 3, 2015, when he defeated Sheamus for the US Championship.

He was released from his contract on April 15, 2020, as part of the budget cuts due to the COVID pandemic. He joined AEW, where he would spend the next four years before returning to WWE in April 2025.

On the main roster, he recently competed and won against Sheamus in a Good Ol’ Donnybrook Match at Clash in Paris PLE.

WWE Star Rusev Speaks In Support Of Syko Stu

The violent incident which recently took place during a KnokX Pro show shook the wrestling industry.

The incident witnessed Raja Jackson, son of former MMA star Rampage Jackson, barge into the ring and attack Syko Stu, with whom he was involved in a confrontation earlier.

Not only did Jackson slam Stu, knocking him out, but also unleashed a barrage of brutal punches that sent the latter to the hospital.

WWE star Rusev addressed the controversy, recalling the time he spent with Syko Stu training.

I’ve known and trained with @SykoStu for 15 years. He is a former US Army veteran and amazing guy. There are no excuses for what happened in that ring. Praying for strong Kick out. [H/T: Ringside News]

In other news, Skyo Stu has initiated legal proceedings against Raja Jackson.
