Breaking: 3-Time World Champion Officially Suspended On WWE SmackDown
The WWE SmackDown main event ended in chaos.
Cody Rhodes kicked off tonight’s episode of SmackDown to declare that Drew McIntyre was in his rearview mirror and that he had moved on after beating The Scottish Warrior at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Aleister Black and Zelina then confronted The American Nightmare. The face-off took an unexpected turn when the former Women’s United States Champion slapped Rhodes across the face.
Before the situation escalated further, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis interfered to announce a match between Black and Rhodes in the main event.
Nick Aldis Suspends Drew McIntyre On WWE SmackDown
As both superstars were down during the match, Drew McIntyre shockingly interfered to deliver a devastating Claymore to the referee. Cody Rhodes then attacked The Scottish Warrior, but Aleister Black jumped The American Nightmare.
As McIntyre and Black ganged up on Rhodes, Damian Priest rushed to the ring to help the Undisputed WWE Champion. As The American Nightmare took care of The Scottish Warrior, The Archer of Infamy went after The Harbinger of Fury. The latter only escaped after raking the eyes of Priest.
After Rhodes delivered a Cody Cutter to McIntyre, the former WWE Champion retreated outside the ring. Nick Aldis then came out and told The Scottish Warrior that he had had it with him, announcing the suspension of the 40-year-old.
