18-Time WWE Champion Helps Alexa Bliss Overcome Nia Jax On SmackDown

Alexa Bliss has beaten Nia Jax on SmackDown thanks to a former world champion.

The Goddess and The Irresistible Force have a long history. The two former best friends shared the ring many times as a tag team before having a heated rivalry in 2018.

Last week on SmackDown, Jax seemingly reignited their rivalry by challenging the one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions to a match tonight on the blue brand.

The square-off saw the 255-pounder dominate her 102-pound opponent. However, Bliss claimed the victory after taking advantage of her tag team partner, Charlotte Flair, distracting The Irresistible Force.

Jax looked in absolute shock as Bliss celebrated her win with her 18-time champion tag team partner.

Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax Were Planned For A Love Triangle Storyline With Ex-WWE Star

In late 2017, Nia Jax teased a romance with then Cruiserweight Champion Enzo Amore. However, the angle was quickly dropped after the latter was fired from the Stamford-based company.

In a recent interview with The John Rondi Show, Amore revealed that he was supposed to be involved in a love triangle storyline with Nia Jax and Bliss. He disclosed that The Irresistible Force was to find him kissing her best friend, Alexa Bliss, backstage as part of the angle.

At the time, it was the biggest Monday Night RAW of all time, and I’m supposed to be wrestling my mentor’s son, Goldust. I’m the Cruiserweight Champion, and I gamble at the poker table with all these legends. And I get down to losing everything from my watch to my underwear and my Jordans. So, now I go to the ring without my title in my underwear and shoes.

And I go backstage, and Nia Jax, who I was in a storyline with, wins my cruiserweight title back for me playing poker, and when she goes backstage to find me, she finds me kissing her best friend, Alexa Bliss. And I still have the papers from that day. That never happened.
