AEW Executive Fired On Dynamite

AEW The Young Bucks

An AEW executive was fired live on television.

Over the past several months, The Young Bucks duo of Matthew & Nicholas Jackson have flexed their muscles as AEW’s Executive Vice Presidents. The duo, along with their stablemates in The Elite – Kazuchika Okada & Jack Perry, have physically taken out All Elite Wrestling’s Owner Tony Khan, and their fellow EVP Kenny Omega as well.

The Young Bucks were in tag team action as AEW Dynamite emanated from Everett, Washington just ten days before the company’s Double or Nothing PPV. On Dynamite, The Young Bucks beat the veteran team of Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal using the TK Driver named after Tony Khan, which is a spike Tombstone Piledriver.

After the match, Matthew Jackson addressed Daniels. During the promo on AEW Dynamite, Jackson told Daniels he was fired for talking down to the Bucks.

“Christopher Daniels, last week you spoke down to us, and you even put your hands on me! As an executive, you should know better. We’re trying to clean up the locker room and the office from toxicity. You’re trying to screw things up, are you kidding me. So unfortunately, Christopher Daniels, we’ve got to let you go. You’re fired!”

“But don’t worry. We’ll get you a sweet severance package, so you’ll get a check for the next 30 days. And we’ve arranged for a security escort for you out of the building!”

When Did Christopher Daniels Start Working For AEW?

Christopher Daniels is a 54-year-old pro wrestler with over 30 years of experience in the business. Daniels was best known for his runs in companies like TNA/Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor.

When AEW launched in 2019, Daniels was one of the first major hires that All Elite Wrestling made. Daniels has worked for AEW as the Head of Talent Relations for about five years. While Daniels has been an Executive in AEW since the early days in the company, he still wrestles occasionally, just like he did on Dynamite this week.
