WWE: Shane McMahon Replaces Baron Corbin On Team SmackDown; Survivor Series Lineup

Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon has replaced Baron Corbin as the fifth and final member of the men’s “Team Smackdown” Survivor Series unit. This announcement came from Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan at the conclusion of last night’s edition of Smackdown from Glasgow, Scotland.

The reason for Shane replacing Corbin is that Corbin suffered an “injury” last night during his match with Kalisto. He slipped on the ring apron and sold a leg injury. Due to this, he was deemed unable to compete at Survivor Series.

It was also announced last night that Kalisto will challenge Raw Superstar Brian Kendrick for the Cruiserweight Championship at Survivor Series. If Kalisto wins then the Cruiserweight Division moves to Smackdown.

The Cruiserweights will be having their own exclusive show on the WWE Network called, 205 Live. Since this show will be taking place right after Smackdown on Tuesday night’s (10:00 pm ET), I think it’s likely that Kalisto will win.

Breezeango also defeated The Vaudevillains to qualify as the fifth and final tag team to be apart of Team Smackdown.
