WWE Rumor On Name Of Roman Reigns Led Stable

The name of Roman Reigns’ new stable could be “The Family” according to a report by Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The stable would consist of Reigns as the leader along with his best buddy Dean Ambrose (who Reigns often calls a “brother”) and Roman’s real life cousins The Usos (Jimmy & Jey). The name hasn’t been officially announced on television, so take it as a rumor for now.

Since Sheamus is now leading a heel stable called The League Of Nations with King Barrett, Alberto Del Rio & Rusev as his allies, it makes sense to have a babyface stable to oppose them.

TJR Thoughts: I’m not a huge fan of the name. When a reader mentioned it to me (shoutout Tim Holland), he suggested “The Empire” and I like that better. Plus, there’s that whole Roman Empire thing that people can think of. Maybe WWE is reluctant to do it because there’s a TV show called Empire. Or they really like The Family. I just think it’s too basic.
