WWE Royal Rumble Lineup Following SD Live – Women’s Tag Added

TJR Wrestling

The WWE Royal Rumble takes place this Sunday, January 29 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. It appears as though the card is final now although obviously there are some names missing from the Rumble match just like there is every year.

There are 22 names that are officially announced for the 30-man Royal Rumble match according to the list on the WWE.com Royal Rumble page. Mojo Rawley was the only addition from last night’s Smackdown Live show.

The Undertaker
Goldberg
Brock Lesnar
Big Show
Dean Ambrose
The Miz
Sami Zayn
Dolph Ziggler
Big E
Xavier Woods
Kofi Kingston
Bray Wyatt
Randy Orton
Luke Harper
Mojo Rawley
Braun Strowman
Chris Jericho
Baron Corbin
Cesaro
Sheamus
Big Cass
Rusev

Another name likely for the match is Samoa Joe, but that’s not official. Finn Balor is a possibility since he may be cleared after undergoing medical testing today. Seth Rollins was removed on Monday’s Raw, but it wouldn’t shock me if he still finds a way to be a part of the match. Triple H is another possibility. There are people that think Kurt Angle could be in it too. We won’t know until Sunday night.

A new match was added on Smackdown Live pitting three face female competitors in Nikki Bella, Naomi & Becky Lynch against three heels Mickie James, Natalya & Alexa Bliss.

That means the full card card looks like this:

30-Man Royal Rumble Match

WWE World Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs. John Cena

WWE Universal Championship: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns (No Disqualification Match where Chris Jericho will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage)

Raw Women’s Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Bayley

Nikki Bella, Naomi & Becky Lynch vs. Mickie James, Natalya & Alexa Bliss

Cruiserweight Championship: Rich Swann (c) vs. Neville

Kickoff Show – Raw Tag Team Championship: Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson (Two referees will be assigned to this match)

Kickoff Show – Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

The Kickoff Show will be two hours long with a start time of 5pm ET with the pay-per-view starting at 7pm ET.

We will have our TJRWrestling Royal Rumble PPV Preview article up on Friday afternoon and then I’ll be back on Sunday night with a live review of the Royal Rumble as well.
