Samoa Joe defeated Finn Balor for the NXT Title at a live event last Thursday in Lowell, Massachusetts. The title change created a buzz among wrestling fans as it came as quite the shock. Championships usually don’t change hands at house shows, especially major championships which the NXT Title can be considered. To many fans delight, it was announced during last night’s episode of Monday Night Raw that this Wednesday’s (April 27) edition of NXT will air this much talked about NXT Title match in its entirety. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Elias Samson is also scheduled for this Wednesday’s NXT.
Mark’s reaction: I’m very happy that they’ll be showing the full match this week. I would have been content never seeing it, but the fact that they kept the cameras rolling and now I get to see it is pretty cool. I also know many people had complaints about the NXT Title changing hands at a house show because no one got to see it. Well, if you fall in that group, now it’s here for ya! I’m happy Joe’s having his run as NXT Champ because he deserves it. He also deserves to be on the main roster, so let’s make this tile reign an abbreviated one and bring him up.
