WWE NXT Takeover Brooklyn IV Lineup for Aug. 18 – Includes Spoilers

TJR Wrestling

There were four weeks of NXT TV shows taped earlier tonight at Full Sail University. During the taping, they set up the likely five match card that will make up the NXT Takeover event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday, August 18. While we aren’t going to post the full results, you can check those out at PWInsider if you want to see them.

The big news at the taping was actually spoiled by WWE when Tommaso Ciampa beat Aleister Black to win the NXT Title. That’s going to air on NXT next week if you want to see it.

Here are the five matches that are expected to make up the NXT Takeover Brooklyn event.

NXT Championship: Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Aleister Black

NXT North American Championship: Adam Cole (c) vs. Ricochet

EC3 vs. Velveteen Dream

NXT Tag Team Championship: The Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong) (c) vs. Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate and Trent Seven)

NXT Women’s Championship: Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Kairi Sane

That’s an awesome lineup. I didn’t think NXT could put together a card this year that could match or top NXT Takeover New Orleans (a show I rated 10 out of 10), but this event could be at that level. There’s no weakness in that lineup. Maybe the women’s match will just be average, but I expect the ladies to have a great match. Everything else has the chance to be in the four star range and higher. It’s a stacked card.

NXT is on fire in 2018. The lineup for Brooklyn looks like it will continue that positive momentum for WWE’s third brand.
