WWE News: Update on Seth Rollins Injury; Potential Good News For WrestleMania

TJR Wrestling

During last night’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, it was mentioned by announcer Michael Cole that Seth Rollins suffered a torn MCL, but there were no details given for how long he might be out. The good news is that Rollins may be cleared for his rumored match against Triple H at WrestleMania on April 2.

It was mentioned on Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer that “Seth is considered good for WrestleMania, so Triple H vs. Seth is on, and that’s what they’re working towards. They are going with the idea that the match is still on.”

In addition to that, PWInsider‘s Mike Johnson wrote that “Rollins will be good to go by Wrestlemania, pending any further complications.” It was also mentioned by Johnson that Rollins underwent testing on his knee in Birmingham, Alabama on Monday as well.

TJR Thoughts: That’s great news. If the two biggest insiders in wrestling are reporting the same thing then they are likely getting it from reliable sources within WWE. Meltzer’s report last Wednesday noted that it might be eight weeks for Rollins. Obviously, after a week of rest there was more information available this week and if WWE thinks he’s ready to go by WrestleMania then maybe he’ll be ready to go in five or six weeks. I’m not sure what that means as far as the WrestleMania match in terms of quality and things like that. They could always have a shorter match with Rollins winning in impressive fashion because it’s not like Triple H should win or needs the win. This is about putting over Rollins so he can move on.

For now, just wait and see for more information to come in the next few weeks.
