WWE News: Two Tag Team Matches Announced for Raw Including Mixed Tag and Mystery Partner for Roman Reigns

Next week’s edition of WWE Monday Night Raw on June 8 will be the last Raw before Extreme Rules on June 14. In order to get fans talking about the show, WWE has announced a “double main event” featuring two tag team matches. They announced it originally through Sports Illustrated this morning followed by WWE posting about it themselves about five minutes later.

The first match announced will see Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch teaming up with her boyfriend, the WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins, to take on the team of Andrade and business manager Zelina Vega. What, was Andrade’s girlfriend Charlotte Flair unavailable? I’m only kidding. Andrade and Charlotte are not recognized as a couple on WWE TV, but if you are following either on social media, you know they are very much together. This match was set up after a challenge from Andrade and Vega.

This will be the second straight week where Rollins and Lynch team up after they easily beat Mike and Maria Kanellis this week when Maria told Mike she was pregnant, so Becky made Mike tap out.

Lynch and Rollins joked on Twitter about critics saying they lacked chemistry as a couple.

The other match announced for Raw is a tag team match with Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre teaming up against Roman Reigns and a partner of Shane’s choosing. Here’s what it says in the WWE preview about the match.

Despite what they might have said on Raw and SmackDown LIVE this week, Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre – whether they want to admit it or not – showed fear in the presence of The Undertaker when The Deadman emerged this past Monday night.

This apprehension might be why The Scottish Psychopath and “The Best in the World” turned their tag team battle against The Undertaker and Roman Reigns into a No Holds Barred Match at WWE Extreme Rules next Sunday in Philadelphia. With that showdown looming, Reigns will have to team up with a partner of McMahon’s choosing against “The Best in the World” and McIntyre on Monday’s Raw, as first reported by Sports Illustrated. Plus, if The Undertaker interferes in the match, he’s out of this Sunday’s matchup.

Who will build momentum for their respective team just six days before Extreme Rules?

Reigns wasn’t on Raw or Smackdown this week, so it’ll be interesting to see how he is booked on Raw. I think it’s possible that Elias or some other heel is the partner that Shane picks, but that’s just a guess on my part.
