WWE News: Rey Mysterio vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas Announced for Smackdown on Jan. 15
There’s a good match announced for Smackdown that should excite WWE fans because any time Rey Mysterio and Andrade “Cien” Almas are in a match, they usually deliver a great performance. It was announced on Saturday that the two latino stars will meet in singles action next week on Smackdown.
This past week on Smackdown, Almas pinned Mysterio in a tag team match when he teamed up with Samoa Joe against Mysterio and Mustafa Ali.
After they did this Canadian Destroyer spot during last week’s Smackdown, the WWE Universe was buzzing in anticipation to see more in-ring action between them. Next week on Smackdown, that’s exactly what we’ll see.
TJR Thoughts: I think it’s a great idea to do Almas vs. Mysterio because, as the announcers have said a few times, Almas grew up idolizing Mysterio and clearly they have great chemistry in the ring together. I hope it’s a long match by Smackdown standards meaning that it gets 10-15 minutes. Anything more than that would be amazing.
