WWE News: Matches and Segments Announced for Raw and Smackdown This Week

TJR Wrestling

There were some matches and segments announced for this week’s editions of Raw and Smackdown. The next WWE pay-per-view is called Super Showdown, which takes place this coming Friday from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at 2 pmET/11am PT and it will be live on WWE Network with an expected run time of about four hours.

Raw takes place on Monday, June 3rd from Austin, Texas. Here’s what is advertised so far:

* Roman Reigns will team up with The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) in a six-man tag team match against Drew McIntyre and The Revival. I assume Shane McMahon will be hovering around ringside since he’s facing Reigns at Super Showdown.

* Brock Lesnar aka Mr. Money in the Bank, will be on Raw for the third week in a row with Paul Heyman claiming that Lesnar will try to cash-in the Money in the Bank contract on Universal Champion Seth Rollins. Just remember that heels lie. Based on Stephanie McMahon’s video from a few days ago, there might be an appearance from Stephanie as well.

* The Undertaker is also advertised for Raw, which we knew from last week’s Smackdown. Undertaker lives in Austin and he’s wrestling at Super Showdown, so it makes sense for him to be on. It’s possible that Bill Goldberg, who is facing The Undertaker at Super Showdown on Friday, will be on Raw as well.

* It was announced on last week’s Raw that Rey Mysterio will have to give up the United States Title due to a separated shoulder. Mysterio suffered the injury at Money in the Bank when Samoa Joe gave him two uranage slams. Joe did a promo last week thinking that he’ll be given back his title, but most likely another contender will emerge. Ricochet perhaps? He seems like a good opponent for Joe.

Smackdown takes place in Laredo, Texas on Tuesday, June 4th. They haven’t announced any matches yet, but they have announced three non-wrestling segments so far.

* Bill Goldberg will be there. It is apparently his first time ever on Smackdown. It’s possible that The Undertaker will be there to set up their Super Showdown match as well.

* Alexa Bliss will be on Smackdown to host her “A Moment of Bliss” talk show with Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley as a guest. I’m sure it won’t be interrupted. Now that’s sarcasm!

* Lars Sullivan will be interviewed. They also said that last week and he didn’t say anything, so it could happen again.

That’s pretty much it for now. I assume they will announce more matches in the days leading up to the shows, but this is all that we know for now.
