WWE News: John Cena Says He Will Be at WrestleMania 35, Names His Toughest Opponent

TJR Wrestling

John Cena, who as last seen in a WWE doing very little at Super Show-Down earlier this month (he took no bumps in the match), is a busy man filming a movie in China and various other projects. Cena recently was in New York City promoting his new book “Elbow Grease,” which is a New York Times bestseller.

Cena appeared on The Today Show Radio with Hoda Kotb where he answered questions from kids. Here’s an excerpt:

Cena on his WrestleMania 35 status:

“Where is WrestleMania 35? New York. I’m here right now, aren’t I? Would you like to ‘see me’ at WrestleMania 35? Then you know what, I was thinking about missing it, but because you wanna see me there, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. I promise you I’ll be there, I promise. Okay? We’ll shake on it, we’ll make it official.”

Cena on who his toughest match in WWE was against:

“Do you know a WWE Superstar by the name of Brock Lesnar? Okay, if you know Brock Lesnar, he is big, he is bad, and he is mean. He was easily my toughest match. Now I’ve had some moments where I’ve done okay against him, and I’ve had some moments where I have not done okay against him. And the greatest thing about having a match with Brock Lesnar is you’re always nervous and you’re always afraid because he’s stronger than everybody, but you’re still brave enough to go in there and do it, and win or lose, you try your best.”

Yes folks, Cena still talks like a robot, but he’s also marketing himself to children more than ever, so you do what you gotta do in order to make that money.

There’s no word on when Cena might return to WWE regularly, but the guess here is around the Royal Rumble and into WrestleMania season.
