WWE News: Fandango Will Miss At Least Six Months Following Shoulder Surgery

TJR Wrestling

There’s some sad news on the WWE injury front because Fandango has been diagnosed with a labrum tear in his left shoulder according to WWE.com. Fandango will be out of action for at least six months following surgery this coming Tuesday.

Fandango tweeted about the injury earlier on Sunday.

Fandango has been a part of the Breezango tag team with Tyler Breeze for the last three years. They have also been called the Fashion Police. What does this mean for Breeze? He’ll probably be in midcard limbo. He could always benefit from a chance as a singles wrestler, but I’m not sure if the creative team is going to get behind him that much.

Fandango, who started in WWE as Johnny Curtis in 2006, will turn 37 years old later this month on July 22. It’s hard to believe that Curtis/Fandango has been in the WWE system for 12 years, but it’s true.

We wish Fandango the best in his recovery from the injury that will keep him out for the rest of 2018 with a hopeful return in early 2019. Sadly, Shoulder injuries are common in wrestling due to the nature of the business with wrestlers having to bump on their upper body a lot. The wear and tear of wrestling gets to everybody at some point.
