WWE News: April 1 Raw Includes Tag Team Title Match, Batista, Lesnar, Angle Raw Farewell and Two Women’s Tag Team Matches

The last edition of WWE Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania 35 takes place this coming Monday, April 1 in Washington, DC.

There are several things that have been announced including a Raw Tag Team Title match that was added tonight. The match will see The Revival duo of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder defending their titles against Aleister Black and Ricochet. The title match was earned after Black and Ricochet beat The Revival non-title last week.

Other matches announced for Raw include:

Charlotte Flair, Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch being forced to team up against The Riott Squad trio (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan). If anybody on the Rousey, Flair or Lynch team betrays somebody on their team then they are out of the WrestleMania main event. It’s a ridiculous stipulation, but that’s WWE today.

The second women’s tag team match will see Sasha Banks, Bayley, Natalya and Beth Phoenix face off against Nia Jax, Tamina, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Phoenix is excited about returning to the ring.

Also, they announced last week that Kurt Angle will wrestle on Raw for the last time in a match against Rey Mysterio. They had several great matches in Angle’s prime in WWE.

The other advertised appearances are Brock Lesnar back on the show to hype up WrestleMania against Seth Rollins while Batista will respond to Triple H.

Here’s what WWE.com wrote about Batista:

Just six days before he makes his in-ring return against his former friend and ally Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match, Batista returns to Raw to respond to The Game. What message will The Animal deliver to Triple H before The Cerebral Assassin puts his career on the line in one of WrestleMania’s most bitter and personal contests?

Batista grew up in Washington, DC where Raw is, so based on the phrasing above, I believe he’ll be there in person.

That is more than what WWE usually announces going into Raw. It will be interesting to see if anything changes because WWE loves to change plans from week to week. They advertise things and drop them without notice all the time.

Since it’s the last Raw before WrestleMania, expect a lot of talking. PromoMania season is here.
