WWE: John Cena Is Medically Cleared To Compete Again

TJR Wrestling

John Cena’s WWE return is growing closer by the minute. Cena had shoulder surgery in January that was done to repair a torn rotator cuff. He was expected to miss anywhere from 6-9 months. However, in typical Cena fashion, he is recuperating as if he’s not of this planet; and it seems that his recovery time is now over.

In an interview with Complex this past Friday, Cena was asked how close he is to a returning to the ring. Cena replied:

“If you ask me today, I should’ve been back two weeks ago. I’ve logged almost 400 hours of physical therapy. I got 111 visits in 12 weeks time. I go every single second I can. People say I have a Wolverine-like style of recovery. I was given a nine month quota to come back and after three months I can tell you that I am ready to do anything asked of me possible. It’s a matter of when they call me.”

The interviewer followed up that question by asking Cena if he is medically cleared, in which he simply replied, “Yes.”

Cena’s already stated that he will not be competing in a match at WrestleMania 32 this Sunday. However, getting physically involved in some way, shape, or form is certainly not out of the question.

Mark’s reaction: John is a rehabbing machine. He’s been making posts on his social media accounts for a while now of him lifting weights and getting ready for a return. I can definitely see him being involved at WrestleMania 32 in some fashion. If not, a return on the Raw after WrestleMania is a strong possibility as well.
