WWE Issues Statement on the Future of Dean Ambrose, Confirms His Upcoming Departure
The big news from earlier in the day is that Dean Ambrose is going to be leaving World Wrestling Entertainment when his contract is up in April.
Since we posted that report that was originally from PWTorch and it has spread all over the internet wrestling community, fans have been wondering if Ambrose might end up changing his mind and coming back to WWE. Normally, WWE wouldn’t respond to these kinds of rumors, but apparently, they felt the need to do so today because they issued this statement.
It was posted by the Wrestling Observer’s Twitter account @WONF4W as well as other places that received the same statement and you can read it here:
“Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not be renewing his contract with WWE when it expires in April. We are grateful and appreciative of all that Dean has given to WWE and our fans. We wish him well and hope that one day Dean will return to WWE.”
It’s rare for WWE to say something like that publicly, so it’s possible this could be used in storylines or maybe WWE will choose to write Ambrose off TV before his deal is up.
There have been no comments from Ambrose on the matter since he is not on social media or the kind of guy to comment on this sort of thing.
