WWE Issues Congratulations to AEW on Their Debut Show, Says Fans Are Real Winners

There was a statement by World Wrestling Entertainment this afternoon about the All Elite Wrestling debut of their show Dynamite last night.

“Congratulations to AEW on a successful premiere. The real winners of last night’s head-to-head telecasts of NXT on USA Network and AEW on TNT are the fans, who can expect Wednesday nights to be a competitive and wild ride as this is a marathon, not a one-night sprint.”

The statement was issued to websites on WWE’s mailing list.

TJR Thoughts: Did they do the statement for sportsmanship or because they know the AEW show might have got more viewers than NXT? That might be the reason.

Anyway, it’s a classy gesture on WWE’s part.
