WWE Holiday Week Schedule; NXT Airing on USA Network for First Time Ever

TJR Wrestling

World Wrestling Entertainment and USA Network will continue their December holiday tradition this year with WWE Holiday Week, which begins on Monday, December 11 and ends on Thursday, December 14.

In addition to Raw on Monday and Smackdown on Tuesday, NXT will be airing on USA Network for the first time ever on Wednesday, December 13. It will be a one-hour special from their home at Full Sail University at 7:00 pm ET. WWE Holiday Week will conclude with the 15th annual WWE Tribute to the Troops show. It will be a two-hour special taking place at Naval Base San Diego on Thursday, December 14 at 8:00 pm ET.

NXT Superstar Adam Cole tweeted how he’s excited a larger audience will get the opportunity to see him when NXT airs on USA Network. Cole is scheduled to face Aleister Black in a Fatal 4-Way #1 Contender Qualifier match.

In addition to Cole vs. Black, NXT will also feature Ember Moon vs. Peyton Royce, Fabian Aichner vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas, and Authors of Pain vs. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch.

Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that if next week’s NXT rating is strong enough, it will open the doors to sell the show. Selling NXT to a major network would make WWE a lot more money off of NXT than it would if NXT were to stay as an exclusive WWE Network property.
