WWE Hall of Fame News: Road Dogg to Induct Jeff Jarrett

TJR Wrestling

The WWE Hall of Fame inductor news keeps rolling in as WWE announced on Monday that the “Road Dogg” Jesse James will be inducting his good friend Jeff Jarrett. Road Dogg was the most obvious choice since they have a history going back to the mid-1990s when Road Dogg debuted as “The Roadie” of Jarrett, who had a gimmick of a country singer.

Their most famous angle was when it was revealed that The Roadie was the actual singer on the “With My Baby Tonight” song that Jarrett claimed was his song. The song is popular again in part because of how cheesy it was, but also due to the popularity of Bruce Prichard’s “Something to Wrestle With” podcast where he likes to sing that song often. Road Dogg even mentioned when he talked about Jarrett a few weeks ago. I’ll post the Road Dogg interview at the bottom of this post.

Will they sing the song at the Hall of Fame? I assume so. That will be a great moment.

The other confirmed inductor names for the Hall of Fame are…

Bill Goldberg will be inducted by Paul Heyman.

The Dudley Boyz will be inducted by Edge and Christian

Ivory will be inducted by Molly Holly

We still don’t know who is inducting the other names in the Hall of Fame: Mark Henry, Hillbilly Jim and Kid Rock. Warrior Award winner Jarius “JJ” Robertson will likely be inducted by Dana Warrior.

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony takes place on Friday, April 6 in New Orleans, just two days before WrestleMania. It will be broadcast on WWE Network at 8pmET on April 6.

Here’s Jarrett singing part of the song with Prichard.
