WWE Fastlane: Lineup Update for March 21 with Six Matches, WrestleMania 37 Lineup Including WWE Championship Match
It’s a busy time of year in WWE land with WWE Fastlane coming up this Sunday, March 21 and then WrestleMania is less than four weeks away on Saturday, April 10 and Sunday, April 11. There were three new matches announced for Fastlane last night on Raw.
Drew McIntyre will face Sheamus for the third time in the last month. If you count the Gauntlet Match where Sheamus pinned Drew and Elimination Chamber where Drew beat Sheamus then it will be their fifth time in a match together over the last month. In their two singles matches on Raw, McIntyre won clean and then they had a No Contest finish. At Fastlane, they have another singles match.
Braun Strowman will face Shane McMahon. They were going to have a match on Raw, but Shane hit Braun with a camera repeatedly before the match could start. Shane also put Strowman through the announce table after a leap off the top rope. To end the segment, Shane dumped two buckets of green slime onto Strowman. Yes, green slime.
The third match set up on Raw is a very unique match with Alexa Bliss challenging Randy Orton to a match with Alexa telling Orton to “kick her out of his life” and Orton gladly accepted the challenge. I have no idea how it’s going to go, but it’s being advertised by WWE.
It’s possible that WWE adds more matches to the six-match card. An example would be Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro, which has been building on Smackdown in recent weeks, but they could save it for WrestleMania.
The lineup for WWE Fastlane looks like this now.
WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Daniel Bryan
Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus
Intercontinental Championship: Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews
Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon
Women’s Tag Team Championships: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair
Randy Orton vs. Alexa Bliss – It is legitimately being advertised as a match on WWE.com.
Our preview will be up on Saturday morning and I’ll have a live review on Sunday night.
WRESTLEMANIA LINEUP UPDATE
