WWE: Chris Jericho Teases Hiatus; Still Scheduled TV This Week & Summer Appearances

TJR Wrestling

Chris Jericho lost clean to Dean Ambrose at last night’s WWE Payback pay-per-view event. Jericho returned to WWE for his most recent stint with the company this past January. It was on the first Raw of 2016 where he began a feud with The New Day. He’s been with WWE full time since then.

This morning Jericho tweeted the following alluding to another upcoming hiatus.

Here’s what Dave Meltzer wrote in his daily update at wrestlingobserver.com today: “Regarding Chris Jericho’s teasing of being gone, as best we can tell it’s just him teasing. He is booked going forward and Fozzy has no dates listed for upcoming tours. Jericho usually takes time off when Fozzy is doing tours. He is booked on future shows all over the place, including tonight, and nothing has been changed as far as advertising goes.”

Jericho’s been known to stay in character and work people on Twitter, so that could be the case here. He’s currently still advertised for multiple live events this summer, including WWE’s trip to Japan this July. He is also scheduled to be on tonight’s Raw at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis and Tuesday’s SmackDown tapings at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. This is according to PWInsider.
